Respecting privacy while preserving beneficial knowledge

This policy explains how Darussunnah collects, uses, shares, protects, and deletes information when you use the Darussunnah mobile app, formerly known as Darussunnah Studio.

Effective date: 15 July 2026

Who operates Darussunnah

Darussunnah is developed and operated by Gamji-Tech General Enterprises for the delivery of Islamic educational content and question-and-answer services. Questions about this policy can be sent to darussunnahstudio@gmail.com.

Information we collect

How we use information

Darussunnah does not sell personal information or serve behavioural ads.

Publication and anonymity

Authorized staff may approve a submitted question for anonymous public publication together with its written or audio answer. Public answers do not include your account email or Firebase user ID. Do not include names, phone numbers, addresses, or other identifying details in the question text itself.

Service providers

We use service providers only as needed to operate Darussunnah. These include Google Firebase for authentication, database, file storage, server functions, and hosting; Expo for push-notification delivery; and Apple or Google when you choose their sign-in services. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Sharing and access

Private questions and workflow information are accessible only to you and authorized Darussunnah staff according to their assigned role. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users or the service, or during a lawful organizational transfer with appropriate safeguards. We do not share personal information for advertising.

Retention and deletion

Account-linked information is kept while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can permanently delete your account from Profile → Delete account, or use our web deletion-request page. Private account records are deleted as part of that process.

Approved public questions and answers may remain as anonymous educational material without an account link. Aggregated metrics that cannot identify you may also remain. Limited data may be retained when required for legal, fraud-prevention, or security obligations.

Security

We use authentication, email verification, role-based access controls, server-side authorization, private storage paths, audit records, and encrypted network connections. No system can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong password and protect your device.

Children

Darussunnah is an educational service and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate parental or guardian involvement. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted personal information should contact us so it can be reviewed and removed.
